Flick after the draw with Inter: A final before the final awaits us in Milan

Barcelona Coach Hansi Flick Reflects After Spectacular Draw with Inter: “A Final Before the Final Awaits Us in Milan”

Barcelona’s coach, Hansi Flick, spoke after the thrilling 3-3 draw against Inter in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final at the “Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.” The German acknowledged that his team didn’t start the match well but praised their response and the performance of Lamine Yamal.

“We didn’t start well, but we came back,” said Flick after the match. “This is the first of two legs, we need to win the next one in Milan. That will be a final before the final.”

He emphasized the high level of competition at this stage of the Champions League and praised Inter’s strength in set-piece situations:

“We are in the semi-finals of the Champions League, where there are big teams with experience. Inter showed that today. They had the advantage in set-pieces with four or five very tall players.”

Flick also highlighted the performance of young talent Lamine Yamal, who scored Barcelona’s first goal and sparked the team’s comeback:

“Lamine showed the way forward. That goal for 2-1 was very important. We did a good job, and now we need to fight until the end.”

The return leg will be played next week at San Siro, where the fate of the finalist aiming for European club football’s biggest trophy will be decided.
